Look, I like Duck Hunt as much as the next person (very little), but I’m not sure if this is the right spot for this tattoo. That dog popping up to laugh at my poor aim was always kind of humiliating (especially since I would sit so close to the screen that the gun was usually touching the glass). That’s right. It’s an homage to a minor scene from a 1989 extended Nintendo commercial that masqueraded as a movie (which, by the way, I saw in the theater).
Side note: my favorite thing about the Power Glove was that all the games made for it included the word “glove” in the title, making for not-at-all awkward titles like Super Glove Ball and the sadly never-released Manipulator Glove Adventure. I mean, really? Manipulator Glove Adventure? It sounds like boring gay porn.
