    that’s actually not half bad…

  2. mitt says:

    How… lovely.

  3. Sharlee says:

    Absolutely Awesome.

  4. Jontattoo says:

Great idea in words only horrid looking on the skin it is a shame because the body is awesome the pixels head is dumb.

    • Wondeyboy9000 says:

Which is obviously why the tattoo is so well done.

Shame on you for being a debbie downer!

    • nmf says:

i agree i don’t like the mix of pixels and non-pixles both parts are well done, i just don’t like them together.

    • JBlaZe says:

It pays homage to the roots of gaming… with a modern tattoo twist. its creative and original at the same time. Bravo to the man who had it done.

    • Donovan says:

i think it’s pretty amazing in all aspects. it has a vintage wartime feel and also a vintage video game feel. the signature adds to that. i find it odd that people criticize these kind of tattoos so much, yet ask nothing of why american kids get tribal or japanese kanji tattoos.

  5. Not something I’d ever get, but kind of awesome. I LOL’d.

  6. MB says:

Done well and slightly clever. Trashy, but fails to meet all the criteria to Telly and truly be among the “ugliest” in my opine.

  7. Shufflin says:

    Kinda funny actually…

Her right foot looks starnge though…it’s too far over, maybe?

  8. IddyBiddy says:

Haha :) Surprisingly I really like this tattoo quite a bit. The more I look at it the better I like it! If the Peach tattoo has a Lakitu tramp stamp I am in LOVE with this tattoo. lol

  9. Lucky_Cat says:

OMG This is sort of terrifying.

I’m also terrified of the extremely loud commercial for AA playing on the right side of this site.

  10. SusanCSmith says:

Does no one else see a Juggalo face here?
(Wait… maybe the proper term is “Juggalette.”)

    • Anna Rexia says:

AGH! I was really diggin’ this tattoo until you mentioned that hehehe

The latter term is the correct one. I’m surprised it didn’t get your post held for moderation, because inevitably when someone mentions “one of those people” that way, a bunch of them show up on here.

    • Sunkisst says:

I have learned something new –I didn’t know those clowns had a specific name…

But, that is what I saw also.

Had to go back to look at the tat — NOW I can vaguely see Princess Peach..

  11. Norine says:

That’s funny, tomorrow I’m going to go get my idea for my 8-Bit Mario (that I already have) finished.

    • ratsu says:

Heh. Good to know my “I smell copypasta” is still somewhat accurate. Thanks for the link :)

    • bolero The Darth Decent says:

zOMG, that’s a mushroom tattoo! Peach has a MUSHROOM TATTOO!!!

    • shutupboil says:

Thanks for the link to the image, which was rather clever and well done.
And thanks to the owner of this tattoo for the highly visible “bad-lay” disclosure.
Warnings like that should be mandated.

  12. whiskey says:

If this was on Jared Leto’s arm in “Requiem for a Dream” then that movie would have had a happy ending.

  13. TGP says:

    love this

  14. Matt says:

    I don’t mind it.

  15. bolero The Darth Decent says:

I kind of like this; but it disturbs me on a primal level that originates from my childhood when I used to stay up late at night playing video games at my friend’s house and the exhausted delirium would take over making me see the pixelated world blend with the real world; or when I would get ideas that if I were to jump up and break a board/bricks with my head then money would fall out and I could go buy the candy that my mom wouldn’t let me have.
    Also, TRAMP STAMP!

  16. Dy says:

As if the princess would have signed her name to this. Did she do this tat? I don’t think so. Who decides that this is what they want on them forever?

  17. Dy says:

The 8 bit head with the normal body is what I don’t like. I guess that’s also what makes it unique and quirky, but…

  18. packmanfan says:

I have the feeling that those who like it are probably gamer geeks.
    It looks dumb.
Especially if you scroll from bottom to top.
“Hey that tat has a nice bod. What’s that doing here on this… Oh. Yes that does belong on here.”

  19. Cassy says:

When I saw this on v-sauce I knew someone was going to get it tattooed, and it was done really well.

  20. cinsavant? says:

peach looks like she has a beard to me

    • April says:

I am up and I have not arngeed the shuffle gods, no, no.You really did get mobbed by the folkies today, didn’t you. I always raise an eyebrow when my player seems to favor a particular band or musical style for the day.

  21. disigner says:

I like it. I can’t decide if I’d like it more with/without the pixellation… though I guess without the pixellation there’s the chance it could just look like any old stripper named ‘Peach’

  22. Lyss says:

Wow i actually really like this. Better even than the link that whiskey put up.
And yes, i am absolutely a gamer geek. :P
I think it’s the odd, quirkiness that I like so much – never seen this done, but cleverly executed.

  23. JessP says:

This is pretty rockin’. Though it took away from my delight a little when I realized it was a copy of another picture.

  24. malco says:

I too have a pixel tattoo, this one here is great…

  25. Owl says:

Yeah. I didn’t want to come off as not having a sense of humor or something, but I can’t help but think of this when I see this image. A Princess Peach pinup would have been one thing, but the pixelated head just screams “objectification.”

  26. Robbie says:

The head can’t be realistically drawn or we wouldn’t know who it is.

Now, what would be really good: The head slightly more realistic but still fairly pixelly, and the body also pixellated. Then you’d still have the joke (such as it is), but the two parts would blend together a lot better.

    • Kat says:

Actually, I had trouble recognizing her this way because I’m more used to seeing her contemporary incarnations (especially with blonde hair vs red). I think the sudden transition into pixellated style is jarring and ruins it, not to mention the beard effect some other people have mentioned. I think between the crown, pink clothes, signature, and mushroom tat she would totally be recognizable if the artist had continued the realistic style. I know the tattoo artist was copying a picture, but still. I wish he’d used some creative license with it.

      • rei says:

Well, you have to keep in mind that the tattoo artist isn’t the one who decides what will be tattooed…the client is. The artist may have suggested that the head be drawn realistically, but if the client wanted it pixilated, that’s how he had to draw it.

Basically, people need to stop blaming the artists for things that are really the client’s fault. (this being a prime example)

  27. Lauren says:

My first impression was that this girl’s face had been pixelized to hide her identity… then I realized what it was supposed to be. Not an “ugly” tattoo, but definitely a strange one!

  28. iltby says:

I love this. Totally awesome concept and well executed.

  29. chocolemonade says:

Is is bad that I see this andgo “well, that’s actually not that bad…borderline classy comparatively,”

    • Robbie says:

Not bad, just shows you’ve been spending too much time hanging around here!

It’s WAY classy compared to most of what we see.

  30. Bellebelle says:

    Win.

  31. Feisty Cadaver says:

    So much win here

  32. hypr. says:

    This is cool!

  33. Sunkisst says:

I also thought as one reader did also–to hide the identity of a real person.

I have read all the comments and now I ‘get it’ :) this old lady (meaning me) is out of the loop.

The artist did a fantastic job.

  34. mandacake says:

i actually think its pretty badass. its based on the photo here: http://26.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lokcknucWj1qbmjluo1_500.jpg

    • CJ says:

I think so too, although in the tattoo you can’t really see what she is holding? or what that is in front of her. I agree with the poster who said it looked like a beard :) The image clearly shows it’s her top, and you can also see her mushroom tramp stamp. Thank you for posting it, so we have a better idea what the tattoo should look like.

  35. Venefica Delirium says:

After reading halfway through the posts on here, I guess I’m in the minority for saying this but: Getting a stripper tattooed on your arm seems kind of desperate to begin with, but taking the time to impose the head of a fictional video game/cartoon character on its body is the icing on top of the cake.

I’d be under the impression this person’s idea of a hot date consists of /b/, a box of Kleenex, and some KY Jelly, but the arm looks too feminine, so I’m going to assume it’s a female, one who tries way too hard to fit in with the guys.

    Either way, obnoxious tat.

  36. Invisible_Jester25 says:

Sorry, Mario, but our princess is in the centerfold.

  37. deilax says:

    You spelled Daisy wrong.

  38. bible tire says:

    that’s a good tattoo

  39. jill says:

    i love it.

  40. [...] this is all that Princess Peach gets up to these days, then I know someone who’s getting a shiny new [...]

  41. Schnappy says:

Hey, at least it’s not a flying penis…

  42. FizzPop says:

Is it wrong that i love it O.O

  43. Brittany says:

This is actually ANOTHER FAIL since that is not Princess Peach at all. That is Princess Toadstool. Refer to Super Mario Brothers t.v. show from the 1980s. I like this other than it being the wrong princess. Peach actually had blond hair and wears PINK.

  44. Brittany says:

I am one who likes it but the character is all wrong. this is not peach this is princess toadstool. Refer to the Super Mario Bro. t.v. show from the 1980s on IMDB. But it’s really great work!
