So THAT’S where my Lisa Frank Trapper Keeper went! Now if I could just find my Mortimer Ichabod Marker, I’d be ready for 1987 to get started!

This looks like phase 2 of a tattoo which started out as a simple dolphin. Not a bad job of adding imagery to an existing tattoo. It would have been better to have thought out the entire tattoo to begin with, but so be it.
I have not seen a lot of the nature scene tattoos that have worked out really well in person. They tend to try and use the shape of the body as framing, which makes for rough edges and integration into a fuller image.
This is not the worst I have seen… Not even close.
The dolphin and whale are really well done, actually. It’s the coral that bothers me. The color is off, and doesn’t mesh well with the rest…
I really like this one.
I was going to say that, too. I’ve got to agree that the shading of the coral is kinda off from the rest of the tattoo, but it’s not terrible.
the coral isn’t *that* off… it’s just there aren’t any corals that look like that!
and what bothers me most is it’s just that dolphins and Orcas aren’t commonly associated with Coral seas…
Why not get a Japanese Trawler instead? or have the rest of your back done so you’ve a living tribute the Natural History Museum, with a lil Ben Stiller peeking out your stinktrench
i know! and its not like a dolphin and a killer whale would just be chillaxin together… around the coral, where they would never go. GRR.
i appriciate that they tried to make water-light reflections on the animals’ bodies, but the killer whale looks like its cracking into peices. and there are no reflections on the coral which makes it look really peiced together.
You’re both fucktards. Dolphins are by coral a LOT, and as a resident of Florida, I happen to know that. Dolphins can stray into colder waters, meaning that they could, in fact, be with an orca, and there IS coral in cold water. Wow, look at that! So next time, before flapping your lips, shut the fuck up and do some fucking research you fucking idiots. That is all.
I thought exactly the same thing. Dolphins and killer whales are generally cold-water creatures.
May not be the perfect scientific setting for the orca and dolphin, but the tattoo is quite beautiful I think. Not sure why it is on this site, unless it is just waiting for trolls screaming “wait till she gains wait har har har”.
What’s with the lightnings on the Orca?
I think it is supposed to be sunlight refracting in the water.
Someone crackle painted those dolphins. Shabby-chic fail.
Oh. I thought the orca just had dry skin.
Shabby chic fail = win! But, I think we’re witnessing stretch marks versus a lighting effect. Even so, I think the tattoo is fairly well done.
At least there are no penises involved. Count your blessings!!!
Lisa Frank trapper keeper, ha ha ha ha you have to be old to remember those…..
I remember them, and I’m only eighteen.
Yeah, but your generation’s Lisa Frank sucks.
Agreed. I’m glad that at least when they started doing those bobble head girl prints, they kept the classic stuff in production too.
Is it just me, or is the orca’s tail vertical like a shark tail?
‘s just you.
Looks that way to me too actually. bad angling
This one looks okay, I think they should’ve just left it at the whale and dolphin, and kind of ying and yang, the coral put everything off, whether the colour and shading may be well done or not..
I wish she had some stars on there. Then it really would look like my old trapper keeper.
Less Lisa Frank, more Christian whatshisface, the guy who paints, like, dolphins in space and shit. Yeah, I was kind of into him when I was 9. AND Lisa Frank, actually.
YES. Christian Riese Lassen. I had so many folders with this shit on it: http://www.google.com/images?hl=en&safe=off&client=safari&rls=en&q=christian+riese+lassen&um=1&ie=UTF-8&source=univ&ei=46JYTJn2JI2hOPOUgLsJ&sa=X&oi=image_result_group&ct=title&resnum=1&ved=0CDYQsAQwAA&biw=1104&bih=626
Oh, and science aside, this would suck a LOT less if the lighting on the animals didn’t look like such ass. A for effort, I guess, but it did NOT turn out.
I feel like a lot of tattoos are inspired by Trapper Keepers. This vexes me, but maybe that’s just because mine was plain green with a white inner border. Maybe it would look good on my butt.
Waiiiit. Don’t orcas EAT dolphins? Now that would have been an interesting tattoo….
I like the orca.
Not a bad tattoo.
This isn’t even an ugly tattoo.
wyland!!
Ya think there is a website with good looking Tats?
Hmm, maybe I’ll start one! {strikethrough}
