Cats are basically the Wolverine of house pets, so I tend to avoid them, lest I get my face unceremoniously sliced off. I can only imagine what a badass Princess Shank-Eye here must have been to deserve a memorial like this. I’m guessing that she either set a local record for mouse-killing or led a military coup in a medium-sized South American nation.

Maybe the skulls surrounding the cat are in memory of all of the small creatures slain in the pursuit of entertainment and a snack. Either that or they could represent rude and annoying houseguests who mysteriously disappeared and never returned (my cat has this effect on some people)….

I like this one, too. It’s well-done. I’m not sure if it’s just the lighting in the photo or not, but it looks sepia-toned to me, which makes for a nice touch if it really is the tattoo.

The tattoo’s not that poorly done but I gotta say: “everyone knows you don’t own cats, they own YOU”? Has a cat ever spanked you with a rolled up newspaper? Ever been locked out of the house overnight by a cat? Maybe your household is run differently than mine.
I prepare food for the cats, then force them to eat it from the floor. I also forbid them from using the toilet and make them shit in a box. They get off on the abuse.
When you write like that, it makes me wiggly.

I don’t really know why this is on here… It’s well done, it’s not showing anything offensive or sexual… what’s the big deal? Are we done picking on ACTUALLY horrible tattoos and now we’ll just bash anything that isn’t straight up sword-in-heart flash art? This turn is rather disappointing….

The “good” tattoos are usually prefaced with a comment like “this one’s actually decent” like today’s Calvin & Hobbes tattoo. I’ve been reading for a long time, and generally I find this page very amusing, and I leave off the comments because there are rabid idiots who feel that any criticism is some kind of violation of their favorite internet pleasures, but really… The tat here is not bad, stupid-funny, offensive, or misspelled. It’s a little outside the usual, and strange, but it’s not the usual fare… I am puzzled. Is the new direction really just to pick on anything that doesn’t fall into mainstream tribal flash or what? Is EVERY tattoo bad/ugly/deserving of your derision? I find the Twilight and Gaga tattoos retardedly funny, and usually she is spot on with her comments. This one is… just not up there. Also, if your butt hurts because of something I said you should see a doctor, or stop stuffing things up it, maybe.
So it’s agreed, the next UT theme is shark jumping tats…GO!

I know what would make this kind of tattoo a fantastic addition to the site, though, is a tribute to their departed pug dog done like a virgin of guadalupe riding jet skis over a shark…. That I could get behind. I hope we aren’t running out of stupid tattoos…. I’m sure there are more… maybe Lindsay lohan will come out of jail with some sweet jailhouse tats…
Lot’s of tattoo’s on here are not horribly done even if they aren’t for everybody. Get over the name of the site. I like seeing the unique and quirky ones as much as I like making fun of the awful ones. You have to admit that you probably haven’t seen many commemorative evil cat tattoos. Also, most of the posters haven’t bashed it.

I like seeing the straight up quirky ones, too, btw. I just think the really stupid/ugly ones are much funnier, and that there seems to be no distinction made for this one, just the same kind of humor as applied to the truly shit-tastical ones, the implication being that it’s ugly/stupid/etc. I disagree, I didn’t know that it was not permitted to disagree on the comment page.
Jessica probably didn’t think it needed. From what I’ve seen, cat related tattoos seem to do very well around here both in the comments and voting if the art is good. That was true in this case….I wasn’t trying to jump on you. I was just expressing my thoughts on your post. Say whatever you want.

Top notch work, but why did the tattee choose a cat and skulls? (scratches head absentmindedly). And is that a scar cover up in the lower right deltoid area? It looks like he got hit with a shotgun blast.
I think this is one of the best executed cat tattoos I have ever seen. I love it! The skulls creep me out though…
