I never really understood Ghostbusters as an allegory for World War II, but maybe I just wasn’t paying enough attention.
Just kidding, of COURSE I was paying attention! It’s Ghostbusters for god’s sake! No one has paid closer attention to that movie than I have, and I can tell you right now that it wasn’t an allegory for World War II. It was an allegory for the Slovenian peasant revolt of 1515. Duh.
