The Mighty Dou—Oh It’s Just Too Easy

Old Gregg

Submitted by: dunno source via Submission Page

I had to look up this Old Gregg character to know who he is, since—and this may shock you—I haven’t actually seen every video available on the Internet. I think I’m up to about 85% right now, but damn, those “Single Ladies” parodies just keep coming.

Anyway, I only watched this one video, and I can see how it would be funny. If you were stoned. And had never seen Flight of the Conchords. And were a 13-year-old male.

Don’t know what it is, don’t want to know.

  2. Rykan says:

The Mighty Boosh is one of the greatest comedy series to come out of the UK! Jaysus man…

  3. Katherine says:

The Mighty Boosh is amazing! Watch it!

  4. sara says:

I am sorry but I think that the “Old Gregg” video is hilarious!… much like this tattoo. I like the video and all but I could never see myself tattooing anything remotely close to this on my body…

    • Long before dawn says:

Old Gregg is awesome, but this took me about 30 seconds to identify it. My first thought was zombie Captain Sparrow wanna-be with boiled egg eyes.

Oh course, if you really wanted a tattoo of WTFness, you’d get one of PleaseFreezeMe’s deviantART Old Gregg.

  5. wilhalen says:

Mighty Boosh was actually around on TV before Flight of the Conchords… (and they both got their start in 1998). Nice try, though.

  6. Erin says:

Oh god what the hell is that?! Is that a mole by the head? That’s more disturbing than the tattoo.

  7. Old Gregg's Girlfriend says:

The Mighty Boosh rules, but that tattoo does not.

  8. Eruanna says:

    OMG.
    IM OL GREEGGG…

Hilarious. I wouldnt get it as a tattoo, but gregg is all kinds of funny.

  9. Krissy Diggs says:

…Ummm Mighty Boosh came WAY before Flight of the Concords, just FYI. Mighty Boosh set the standard.

At any rate… that is a TERRIBLE likeness of the mangina sporting manfish. It naturally needs a bit more phunk.

  10. DD_838 says:

Hey!!! I love Old Greg!! Almost as much as I love Baily’s!!! And playing love games!!!

  11. Ilona says:

The Mighty Boosh is an awesome show. It’s actually pretty damn funny, and a lot better than other crap that is popular on tv.

  12. Zip Zop Zoobity Bop says:

I like the Mighty Boosh better than Flight of the Conchords. But I would NEVER get a tattoo of Old Gregg.

  13. Melissa says:

    Sweet creamy beige…..

    MANGINA!!!!!!!
And this paricular episode is not even the strangest one.
    I love The Mighty Boosh.

  14. orang-u-tan says:

pfft. the boosh came before flight of the conchords.

    just sayin.

    still a stupid tattoo tho.

  15. Megan says:

Well if you’d turn MTV the fuck off and learn what real comedy is, you might have fucking heard of the Mighty Boosh, one of the most original comedies to come out of the UK. Old Gregg was a whole episode with more to it, not just a 4 minute clip from YouTube.

  16. lulu says:

they made old gregg look like a burn victim

    • Anna Rexia says:

Wow, you aren’t kidding. If you’re going to get something like that, at least do it in colour. The ink work isn’t bad, though the tattooist really should have used more shading, and definitely should not have inked over the mole. I’m not a Mighty Boosh fan, but at least it’s not a tattoo of something that was only popular for less than a year before falling into complete obscurity.

  17. Elizabeth says:

Meh. I’d rather watch reruns of Yes, Minister.

  18. Blake says:

Look on the bright side there are creepier internet memes out their to have permantly inked onto skin. Salad fingers anyone?

  19. Pret says:

Maybe the people without a sense of humor could hang out with you, Sunshine. You sound like you’d be a barrel of laughs. So who shoud really STFU??? hmmmmmm?

    • Anna Rexia says:

When they include such fine phrases as “quit hating,” “don’t be a hater” or mention “haters” in any form, consider the source.

      • Pret says:

Agreed. That’s a phrase that can’t go away fast enough. I guess we’re haters of people who call people haters. It’s a vicious circle.

But, obviously being a fan of sarcasm, I felt it my duty to point out (in a taunting way) that her coming across as a maniacal fucktard isn’t how you get people to believe you actually find something funny.
So is that hypocrisy or irony?

  20. Pret says:

I thought it was a band member from Prince and the Revolution….with light eyes

  21. Dyannamika says:

Well, I have to say that I <3 Teh mighty Boosh. I do. Have watched it since I lived in London, and it's one of my favorites. (I won't say what I had to do to get season three). That being said… why Old Gregg? Everyone knows that if you're going to Ink the Boosh, you need to get the MOOOON. :)

  22. Sophie G says:

The Mighty Boosh is my reason for living, do not hate on it :(

  23. Krat says:

I do love the Boosh but i have to say that Old Gregg always just reminded me of a second rate Papa Lazarou from the League of Gentlemen…. Go nuts and tell me how incorrect this is chronologically…Hello Dave, Is that Dave?, Okay, is Dave there?

  24. Dee says:

I don’t like the tat, nor do i like the vid clip, and wow are the english freaks or what when it comes to TV shows!!!!!!

    • Sharon says:

You say we’re freaks when it comes to TV shows but I’m sorry, I have seen some of the complete and utter crap the Americans have peddled over here, you have to shutdown half of your brain cells just to be able to watch it! So really it’s not an ‘English’ or ‘American’ tv thing, just personal taste.

      • Blake says:

I am american and I completly agree with this statement. I literally haven’t watched anything on primetime cable in years, most of it will melt your brain if your not careful . BBC is ironically one of the only channels I watch.

  25. Sharon says:

The Mighty Boosh RULE no matter what anyone else says! My husband and daughter loved it and then one day I watched it with them and was hooked. I loved the one in the tundra when he’s with the lonely polar bear who says ‘Hold me’. They are top banana in my book… still would NOT get this tattoo… I do have standards! :)

  26. Yes says:

I’ve recently become a fan of “The Mighty Boosh” since it’s been aired on Adult Swim, but I saw that damn video years ago, hated it then, and I hate it now.

  27. Geek_Kittie says:

I love the Mighty Bush, but would never get a tattoo of Old Gregg. Crack Fox on the other hand….

    • Yes says:

I think the Mighty Bush is in a completely different realm of the entertainment industry.

      • Dyannamika says:

The Crack Fox just speaks to so many different issues…

      • Sharon says:

Yeah, I don’t think I’d watch the mighty bush! That’s not a sexuality thing, just an icky thought of someone with pubic hair up to their belly button and down to their knees…Ewww! :(

  28. Bry_Zee says:

Old Gregg! The Mighty Boosh is amazing, though I agree with most others that I probably wouldn’t get a huge Old Gregg on my body… but the Boosh logo, well, that could be a possibility.

  29. Meggilizz says:

H-A-T-E this tattoo, but love drinking Baileys out of a shoe!

  30. Sally says:

    I’M OLD GREEEEEGG!!

  31. Noelegy says:

Okay, I Googled it, and found this:

    http://www.cultistshop.com/cult/wp-content/uploads/2007/11/old-gregg.jpg

Sigmund the Sea Monster? Is that you?

  32. mina says:

i am not a 13 year old boy i am actually a 16 year old girl and that was hilarious!

  33. sandy says:

As another 31 year old woman, I second this!

  34. hannah says:

yup. mostly watched by stoners. its really difficult to understand if you arent high

  35. R says:

It’s Old Greggggg! It’s not just an internet video. Yeesh. I still wouldn’t get a tattoo of Old Gregg though. :P

  36. knuckle babies says:

This is clearly Dennis Rodman sporting a Beethoven-syle hairdo.

  37. tittalicious says:

the mighty boosh is a great show. even better when blazed

  38. Keirlee says:

Mighty Boosh may have “set the standard” but Flight of the Conchords raised the bar immensely.

  39. jade says:

the character was heavily based on rick james.

  40. Ted says:

Mighty Boosh has been around for years before “Flight” was made. And it’s by far the superior show.

  41. anonymous says:

    You’ve seen my downstairs mix-up!

  42. ARD says:

Never seen flight of th e conchords??? FUCK OFF!!!!!! Mighty Boosh OWNS flight of the choncords

    • Steve says:

Um. They werent saying that they thought it was Flight of the Conchords. They were comparing. Obviously if you google Old Gregg it comes up with The Mighty Boosh. So get a grip and stop being rude.

  43. Lil'JohnnyFrostbite says:

I’m currently planning a half sleeve dedicated to The Mighty Boosh, which to some peoples dismay, will include images of Old Gregg, Vince and Howard, The Hitcher, Tony Harrison, The Moon, The Spirit of Jazz and Milky Joe. Oh, and BTW, I’m a female from the USA. It hasn’t gained very much popularity “across the pond” so to speak. I already have the logo on my forearm and constantly get comments on it.

  44. OLD GREGG says:

    I’M OLD GREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEGG!

Do you want to go to a club where people wee on each other?
    I’m gonna hurt you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    Do you want some Bailey’s?

And I’m from the Mighty Boosh, not Flight of the Concords. Did you see what I did to Curly Jefferson? He didn’t love me….

  45. Sparky says:

I’m a big Boosh fan myself, but even I wouldn’t go this far. XD I’d prefer something, you know… subtle?
Maybe the little monkey skull logo?

  46. Meg says:

haha…. love me some Old Gregg, (and The Mighty Boosh) but nothing good comes out of putting someones face on your body. They never come out right.

  47. Ol' Gregg says:

You all be dissin’ mah tattoo? Well, maybe Ol’ Gregg be coming into your house while you sleeping and sucking out your eyeballs with a hoover, and tuckin’ them up mah downstairs mix-up. Ol’ Greggory ain’t some internet video! You all need ta be watchin’ Gregg’s episode!

I’m Ol’ Gregg! I gotta mangina!

    I’m ofta drink some Bailey’s outta a shoe…

  48. ozzy says:

obviously nobody has ever seen an unfinished tattoo. I am the honor of this tattoo. wow you’d think for a “tattoo” website… someone could recognize outline and shading. Awesome Im Rad….and thats all

  49. [...] well, would you look at that? Another Old Gregg tattoo. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go drink an entire bottle of Baileys so I can smash it open [...]

  50. erik says:

the boosh were around before flight of the conchords…

  51. Frederica Bimble says:

Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha…. I see this guy all the time around Hoxton and Old Street in London. It’s Noel Fielding and he DOES look slightly better in real life!

  52. Estefan says:

    Look at them shine.

  53. Niadra says:

I actually love The Might Boosh but I cannot STAND Old Gregg. and I don’t know why other people are so enthusiastic about him.

  54. Niadra says:

    ***MIGHTY.

  55. FA Q ALL says:

    Do this:

    access youtube.com

    search for “indian thriller”

    and see the resemblance!

    GOLEMAR!
