This is why I would never get a cat. One minute they’re swiping at your ankle from under the couch, and the next minute they’re sitting at the back porch with a severed head and an AK-47. I just can’t deal with the moodiness.

I think it’s awesome. It’s always good to see a tattoo incorporating my love for re-animator and the justice system. At least I think that’s the re-animator head.

Well, it’s bound to happen to all of us at least once. I actually like this. It’s technically well done, and it obviously has meaning without the meaning being too obvious. I’d like to hear the story.
i think its Bast from Neil Gaimans the Sandman comics. If not, they probably lifted the cats face from it anyways…
Then again, Bast ist an Egyptian goddess and Lady Justice – to whom the symbolism in this tattoo refers – is of Roman origin. Also – at least in “Seasons of Mists” – Bast is dark furred. [/geekmode]

I like it, not really sure why but I do. The execution, like the subject, is odd …but overall I am pleased by it.
I actually like this one for both it’s quirky aesthetics and the fact that it’s very well inked!
I fully agree. I find the use of the light blue for highlighting a bit off when compared to the other colours, but that may be the artist’s personal touch, along with the cool glow of the heart. The cat’s eyes seem a bit reptilian to me, which just adds to the cool “what?” factor, as opposed to WTF, which tends to have negative connotations.
Indeed, this one must have an equally-cool story and/or meaning behind it, which is a great departure from so many others. Excellent execution of the inkwork. I love this one!

i’m not certain but i think this might be a tattoo of an illustration by artist Patrick Woodroffe. I would look it up so i could say for sure but i know i won’t be able to find it on the internet… he was pretty prolific in the 70s. if it’s not, oops. everyone who liked this tattoo should look woodroffe up anyway. patrick woodroffe goes hard.
