My guess is that it was less obvious on purpose. My tattoo artist told me once that the worse the tattoo looks, the more thought they usually put into it. I’m not saying he’s the authority or anything, but he has been tattooing for over 15 years, so I’ll take his word.
i have the same tattoo and i chose a font that looked as much like a heart as possible. the way this (doesn’t) come together would drive me crazy.
